Yearning for Comfort, Embracing the Opposite, Rev. Jenny Peek

What does comfort mean to you? Today we will talk about comfort, a bit about safety and security, and what role discomfort might have in our lives. This sensitive topic demands a qualifier: Comfort or lack of comfort depends on our lived experiences. “Roughing it” for a few days in the woods is an unfathomable choice in the face of unemployment or lack of housing. Rev. Jenny will share her reflection, sparked by solo camping and intentional albeit brief moments of discomfort.  Rev. Jenny will share her message via Zoom (live) from Pocatello.

Rev. Jenny Peek began her journey in ministry right here at UUFE, as a student minister. Since then she has served our sibling congregation, Pocatello UU Fellowship, in Southeast Idaho. Rev. Jenny lives with her sons, Kyle and Nathan, and their furbabies, Gin and Loki. Rev. Jenny’s ministry focuses on community outreach, expanding visibility of Unitarian Universalism, and partnering with people in bringing about a just and sustainable world.

We will share Joys & Sorrows. We will also have our 3rd Sunday potluck following the service. Please bring a dish to share!
