At the June 14 Board of Trustees meeting, the board unanimously approved Katrina Wilson as the Volunteer of the Month for July 2017.
Wilson has been a great asset at UUFE. As an example, she stepped in when one of our board members relocated and we needed a trustee to fill that position until the term ended.
More recently she has helped rebuild the Lifespan Religious Education (RE) program by chairing the RE Committee. She is actively working with Kevin DeBeck on a proposal to the board that would lead to a new director of religious education and putting together programs to facilitate the reconstitution of the RE committee.
Needless to say this involves a lot of work, but Wilson has taken the challenges in stride; recruiting new members and making great suggestions for program ideas while taking the time to explain the thinking that went into the recommendations.
She also edits and produces the Fellowship Focus newsletter each month. To top off her contributions, she also serves on the team that run the sound system duties for Sunday services.
We thank Wilson for all her contributions to UUFE and appreciate her volunteer spirit.
