“Ukraine!”, Anastasia Fomine

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Elkhart 1732 Garden Street, Elkhart, Indiana, United States

Our speaker will be Anastasia Fomine, a 17-year-old Ukrainian exchange student, who is still here due to the war at home. She will be telling us much about Ukraine that most of us do not know.  Immediately following the service, we will have coffee hour and snacks in the Gathering Place, and our Meditation program at 11:45.

“Father’s Day/Flower Communion”, Worship & Arts Committee

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Elkhart 1732 Garden Street, Elkhart, Indiana, United States

For our 3rd Sunday service (and potluck Sunday!) our Worship & Arts committee members will lead our service.  We will celebrate Father's Day, and have our annual Flower Communion.  Also, we will recognize our Religious Education program and our leader, Judy Darnel.  It will be a full Sunday!  Following the service, we will have potluck lunch, so please bring a dish to share.  If you forget, however, please stay anyway for lunch - we always have plenty.  There will be no meditation this Sunday.

“Spinoza, a Message of Tolerance and Involvement with Early Universalists”, Chett Mitchell

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Elkhart 1732 Garden Street, Elkhart, Indiana, United States

Chett Mitchell is a friend of previous speakers Rev. Carolyn Hunt and Andrea Baker Dean, and will speak at our Fellowship, on our fourth Sunday.  His topic delves into the teachings of Baruch Spinoza, who came to be considered "one of the most important philosophers—and certainly the most radical—of the early modern period" (Wikipedia)

Plus, we will have Marva Netherland accompany us, and as it is Jazz Festival weekend, we're sure to enjoy wonderful accompaniment!  Following the service, coffee, tea, and refreshments will be in the Gathering Place, and our Meditation program will be held at 11:45.
