Regina Spektor is a Soviet-born American singer, songwriter, and pianist. Carl will analyze several of her songs with av clips to show her remarkable musicianship and creativity and how she is aligned with UU beliefs.

Rev. Dan will be talking about “John’s Garden” today. The pumpkins in Farmer
John’s garden have a pretty good life. They have sunshine, water, a safe place to
grow – and no idea what Halloween has in store for them. When they learn that
their lives are about to change, they have some very different reactions. UU
singer/songwriter Peter Meyer’s song, “John’s Garden”, gives us a playful way to
think about fear, transformation, and what we do with the brief time we have to
shine. Shari Mellin is the WA. We will also observe the 4 th Sunday candle ritual
with Geneele Crump.
