Preaching to the Choir: Local Food Insecurity, Keith Sarber

May 21 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Food Insecurity

On our 3rd Sunday, Keith Sarber, Director of Church Community Services, will speak on food insecurity issues.  His message is entitled, “Preaching to the Choir: Local Food Insecurity.” This will be a special potluck Sunday.  In addition to everyone’s participation in bringing a dish for potluck, we will serve rice and beans.  Rice and beans are the main meal, or significant parts of a main meal, in many parts of the world.  Immediately following the service, we will prepare for our potluck meal and enjoy it in the Gathering Place.  There will be no Meditation this Sunday.

SPECIAL NOTE: At noon, as we are finishing our Potluck, our Annual Meeting will be conducted in the Gathering Place.  Minutes of the Annual Meeting of 2022 and of the Special Congregational Meetings of January 15 and March 5 will be presented for approval, as will reports from the President and committee chairs. We will elect officers and trustees of the Board of Trustees, elect committee members for Endowment and Nominating committees, choose representatives to the Annual General Assembly, and approve the budget for church year 2023-4.  Our By-laws state that persons voting at the Annual Meeting must have been members for 60 days. All members who signed the Membership Book BEFORE March 21, 2023, are eligible to vote.
