Science and Society
In January we will continue viewing our series from the Great Courses titled “Understanding the Inventions That Changed the World”. The discussion is presented by Bernard Carlson from the University of Virginia.
Our normal meeting days are the first and third Tuesdays of the month. But in January the first Tuesday is New Year’s Day so we all agreed to meet on the second and fourth Tuesday just for January’s sessions. We will switch back to the regular schedule in February.
Today, we will view and discuss the following two 30 minute lectures from the series “Understanding the Inventions That Changed the World”: “Cameras, Telephones and Phonographs” and “Electric Light and Power”
