In June we begin a discussion on Artificial Intelligence which we are calling: AI-the Promises and Risks We Humans Have Created. Starting with these two programs we may venture even further down this road in future months, depending on the reception we receive from these documentaries.

On Tuesday June 20th at 2 PM in the Gathering Place we will view the 60 Minutes presentation called The AI
revolution: Google’s developers on the future of artificial intelligence.  Competitive pressure among tech giants is propelling society into the future of artificial intelligence, ready or not.  Scott Pelley dives into the world of AI with Google CEO Sundar Pichai. The discussion reveals some surprises, even among the most well respected and knowledgeable computer specialists in the world. As we examine the current state of artificial intelligence, we cannot help but simultaneously marvel and express concern as we ponder our own future.
