Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Elkhart

Love is the spirit of this church and service is its law.

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Elkhart (UUFE) is a welcoming community encouraging religious freedom, nurturing individual spiritual and ethical growth, celebrating diversity, and promoting a just and sustainable world.

Located in Elkhart, Indiana, UUFE is a religious and/or spiritual "home" for individuals and families throughout the Michiana area - drawing its membership from Elkhart, South Bend, Mishawaka, Bristol, Goshen, Middlebury, Edwardsburg, and the list goes on.

Visitors are always welcome at our church.

  • If you are looking for a religious community in which to seek spiritual growth...
  • If you are eager to consider religious questions with others who are not always certain they have all the answers but who are determined to keep searching for them..
  • If you would like the fellowship of others for worship, discussion, education, friendship, intellectual stimulation and mutual support...
  • If you are seeking a church where the freedom of the pulpit and the freedom of the pew are equally respected...
  • If you desire an opportunity for women and men, regardless of race, color, religion of origin, sexual orientation or political affiliations, to come together and be more concerned with the love of people than the love of things...
  • If you want children to be helped to develop their spiritual curiosity, compassion, and critical thinking...
  • If you wish to preserve and extend the traditions of democracy, freedom of conscience and human dignity...
  • ...You may want to get to know us better

We welcome you as you are, whoever you are, and wherever you are on your journey through life — agnostic, atheist, humanist, pagan, liberal Christian or Jew; black or white; gay or straight; single or married; young or old.

We uphold the free search for truth.

We do not require that you subscribe to any creed or religious belief. As Unitarian Universalists, we believe that religious authority lies not in any one creed, doctrine, book, or church, but in yourself--that the personal experience, conscience and reason of each individual is the ultimate source of religious authority.

You need not dress formally to feel at ease with us.

Often, the only person with a tie on is the minister or guest speaker!   You will probably find it unusual and refreshing to see our feedback from the congregation after a sermon. We wouldn't have it any other way!  We welcome your interest in us. Come be our guest!

UUFE is a welcoming community encouraging religious freedom, nurturing individual spiritual and ethical growth, celebrating diversity, and promoting a just and sustainable world.
