Vacation Bible School UUFE Style Join Rev. Amy and Lauree Cass for a family friendly, all-ages Vacation Bible School experience! Friday night, August 27 from 5-8 pm and Saturday from 10am-12 noon. Come to one or both days as we learn lessons from some of the bible stories that show up in everyday conversation. Do you have the patience of Job? Is someone you know so perfect that they walk on water? Fun for all ages! No fee, but we would like for you to tell Rev. Amy how many are coming, and the ages of participants, so we can be ready for you! We’ll start on Friday with a potluck dinner for families, and then have fun of biblical proportions. Please make time for this, and tell your friends and neighbors, too.
Lifespan Religious Education2009-2010At the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Elkhart we take seriously our newly-adopted mission statement. The goal of our Lifespan Religious Education Program is to nurture individual and ethical growth recognizing that the hunger for learning is with us throughout our lives from the time we are born until the day we die. The offerings and curricula support the larger mission of our congregation to celebrate diversity and promote a just and sustainable world. Lifespan Religious Education is a cooperative effort at UUFE. We seek the involvement of the whole congregation whether it be in teaching, in leading a weekly activity for children and youth, or facilitating one of the adult enrichment offerings.
For Children and YouthAnother church year has come to an end, but the great stuff that’s being done in RE will keep roll-ing along all summer. Flower Communion will be on June 6, and our study of the 7 Principals begins on June 20th. Don’t forget that the Church Campout at the Indiana Dunes will be the weekend of July 9-11. Our Vacation Bible School will be bumped from June until August. I’m looking forward to a great summer in RE. Thank you all for your help and support through the year and the summer!
For AdultsAdult religious education programs embody the transformational, self-directed learning that lies at the heart of Unitarian Universalism. Unitarian Universalism helps adults use their own personal stories to share their religious journeys; explore fundamental religious questions and theological concerns; build relationships with others; explore moral and ethical questions from a liberal religious perspective; and become familiar with the foundations of our liberal religion. We do this through workshops, discussion groups, and identity groups.
Adult Programs
The Adult RE meeting in the Forum Room at UUFE will be exploring the UU fourth principle: “a free and responsible search for truth and meaning”.
No preparation needed. Just come with your questions and perspectives. |
